Coffee is a family-owned Italian coffee shop celebrating three years of exceptional
craft. For this
comprehensive brand overhaul, I stepped into a full-scale creative and strategic role. My
responsibilities spanned from defining the brand name and identity system to designing the physical
environment, developing an optimized online ordering ecosystem, and executing high-conversion
seasonal marketing campaigns.
The ultimate challenge? Successfully launching a vibrant, independent cafe integrated into a shared
retail footprint with Dardano’s, requiring clever spatial wayfinding
and a unified, polished aesthetic.
My scope of work spanned naming, visual identity, interior and menu design, custom e-commerce web
development, and ongoing seasonal marketing campaigns. The result is a highly recognizable,
successful local coffee destination with a robust physical and digital footprint.
Precision in Brand Identity
To honor the founders' family heritage, the brand was named Vento—the Italian word for wind. The
visual identity reflects movement, fluid craftsmanship, and a deep appreciation for the coffee
ritual.
Typography & Flow: The custom, fluid typeface features organic
transitions where the "V" and "T" sweep through the wordmark like a gentle breeze.
The Iconography: The letter "O" doubles as a subtle, stylized
pour of latte art, anchoring the logo firmly in the specialty coffee space.
Asset Versatility: Developed a robust design system including a
primary wordmark, a clean geometric alternative, and a highly compressed "V" monogram optimized for
digital favicons, square social profiles, and small-scale merchandise stamping.

Dynamic Menu Systems Design & Implementation
To keep the menu fresh and operational efficiency high, I manage and design an adaptable digital menu board system that rotates across four distinct seasons.
Dayparting Layouts: Optimized distinct visual hierarchies for the Morning Menu (focusing on high-volume breakfast pairs) and the Afternoon Menu (focusing on specialty espresso and atmosphere).
Happy Hour Strategy: Created a high-visibility, exterior-only menu variation engineered specifically to move remaining breakfast inventory quickly before the afternoon shift.
Closed Loop Animation: Designed a playful, seamless motion graphic of a latte cup being drank and refueled on a loop, maintaining brand engagement on the digital screens even after the drive-thru closes.
Specialty Drinks Marketing Campaign
Every seasonal menu drop introduces three exclusive drinks, backed by a fully integrated marketing
and merchandise blitz designed to incentivize trial and repeat visits.
Targeted Creative Ads: Developed eye-catching digital and social
media assets tailored around the unique flavor profiles of each new drink.
Limited Merchandise & Collectibles: Designed custom,
hyper-limited apparel runs and collectable stickers given away with every promotional drink purchase
to build community hype.
Print Campaign: To maximize the campaign's impact, I design print
collateral such as postcard punch-cards incentivizing customers to try all three new seasonal drinks
to earn a free reward.

Strategic Retail Buildouts & Custom Fixturing
I built a frictionless digital hub to transition Vento's brick-and-mortar success into the online space, handling everything from technical development to asset creation.
Shopify Architecture: Responsible for the complete end-to-end development, wireframing, copywriting, and deployment of a custom Shopify online ordering platform, including professional food photography and post-production editing for the entire menu.
POS & Loyalty Integration: Seamlessly integrated the digital storefront with our physical Square POS system, ensuring real-time inventory tracking and a unified customer loyalty program across both physical and digital touchpoints.
Third-Party Optimization: Launched, optimized, and managed the brand's DoorDash storefront. By pairing high-quality custom food photography with hyper-targeted delivery ads, I successfully unlocked a brand-new, consistent local revenue stream.
