FLAGSHIP LOCATION DESIGN
Transforming a 14,000 sq. ft. shell into a flagship destination required more than just interior design. I led the project across three distinct disciplines to ensure a cohesive experience from the parking lot to the checkout.

The Dardano's Broomfield Flagship Experience

A Multidisciplinary Undertaking

Immersive Spatial Design - Designed the complete layout and flow of the 14,000 sq. ft. store, anchored by a custom-built "Hero Wall" entrance. This rounded feature wall sets the mood with cinematic lighting and integrated digital displays, guiding customers past hidden changing rooms and into the curated zones beyond.

Custom Fixture Engineering - Moved beyond standard catalogs by designing over 50 unique fixtures and furniture pieces from scratch. I took every item from the shoe nesting tables to the service counters, from initial 3D models to final manufacturing, ensuring custom logo cards and retail brand guidelines fit perfectly in the space.

Visual Identity & Signage - Created the visual language that brings the building to life. This included the 30ft vinyl wrap for the HOKA shop-in-shop, the "HOKA Bird" icon integration, and the technical files for the exterior illuminated signage that defines the building's night-time presence.

Pioneering the Immersive HOKA Shop-in-Shop

I designed and executed the country's first fully immersive HOKA shop-in-shop. This wasn't just a display; it was a branded zone defined by a massive 44ft x 3.5ft custom vinyl wrap that surrounds the customer.

The challenge was to innovate within strict brand guidelines. I developed custom shoe holders featuring the HOKA 'Bird' icon; a design element rarely isolated in their branding. The concept was so successful that HOKA has since adopted my fixture design for use in retail locations nationwide.

A 44ft Visual Horizon - The custom "HOKA Blue" vinyl wrap acts as a continuous horizon line, physically wrapping the corner to immerse the customer and define the brands identity around them.

Zone Definition The design uses the high-contrast blue wrap against the neutral store palette to instantly signal the "Active/Performance" zone, drawing the eye from across the 14,000 sq. ft. floor.

Bespoke "Bird" Hardware - Unlike standard generic shelving, the shoe holders were custom-fabricated from wood, featuring the HOKA bird, a rare solo use of the icon that I engineered specifically for this display.

44ft Continuous Horizon: Spanning 44 linear feet across three walls.

Material Engineering: We utilized a specialized high-durability, matte-finish vinyl.

Architectural Integration: The flow of the white contour lines had to be perfectly aligned across panel seams.

Strategic Retail Buildouts & Custom Fixturing

Transforming brand identities into physical spaces requires precision and modularity. I designed and managed the installation of custom fixtures, millwork, and architectural elements that elevated the entire 14,000 sq. ft. retail environment.

Brand-Compliant Modular Fixturing - Coordinated directly with top-tier footwear brand design teams to engineer modular display fixtures. These units strictly adhered to individual brand guidelines while seamlessly integrating into the store's overarching color palette. The modular design allows the floor to pivot instantly based on seasonal inventory.

Bespoke Millwork & Utility - Designed custom furniture to solve specific retail pain points. This included a multi-terminal checkout counter built for high-volume efficiency, and custom try-on benches featuring hidden drawers for disposable socks and integrated storage for associate fitting stools.

Acoustic Cloud Lighting - The space featured a beautiful, but highly echo-prone, exposed industrial ceiling. To mitigate noise and improve customer-associate communication, I designed and suspended geometric acoustic 'clouds.' These dampened ambient sound while housing integrated lighting to highlight the retail floor below.

Custom Wayfinding - Developed bespoke acrylic amenity and fitting room signage, meticulously crafted to align with Dardano’s brand typography and iconography.
